Laurie Bushlack is a part owner and instructor/trainer at BRX Fitness. Having trained for many years in dance (including intensive study at the Gus Giordano Center) and musical theater, she parlayed her interest in the anatomy of movement into a role as a fitness instructor starting in 1987. Even so, continuing involvement in the dance arts came through creating choreography in the Miss America pageant system at the state-level over 20 years. A certified group fitness instructor, Laurie is certified in Yoga through Yogafit, is a KBC Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor, is Stott Pilates trained in Mat and Reformer, and is in the upper belt levels as a current student of Tae Kwan Do. Laurie has been teaching Pilates and Yoga for over 4 years. Keeping workouts fresh with challenging variety and focusing on adaptation to individual client needs, Laurie's belief is that many modes of exercise can be complimentary and that the best of these can be tailored to each individual to achieve the ultimate in functional fitness.


Robin Burtzel is a part owner and instructor/trainer/coach at BRX Fitness. Her passion for fitness dates back to 1992 when she first began training. In 1994 she turned that passion into a career when she certified as an instructor and began teaching/training at a YMCA in New Hope, MN, and she has never stopped learning. Robin's vision has always been to someday open her own fitness studio. With the opening of Prior Lake, MN based BODY ROX in December 2007, her vision has been realized. Robin feels blessed to be doing what she loves as a career. Certifications and experience: CrossFit Level 1, ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) Personal Trainer, ACE (American Council on Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor, Kettle Bell Concepts instructor, TRX and TRX Ripped instructor, Stott Pilates trained in Mat and Reformer, Yogafit instructor, Barre, Schwinn Spinning and Keiser Cycling certified.


Mary Mullett's main physical activity has been running for over 30 years. Knowing that she was getting increasingly inflexible, she decided to try yoga in 2008. One particular instructor sparked her interest and attendance in a weekly yoga class began. After 6 months of doing yoga, she also discovered that a chronic neck problem had disappeared, which was not helped through other means. Wanting to learn more, she began investigating more yoga classes and began teacher training which was completed in 2011. Mary is a certified instructor through a 200-hour RYT Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Training Program with Yogafit. She enjoys taking classes in many styles of yoga to include Kundalini, and Hatha and visits many different studios around town to deepen her practice. All has helped her to slow down and enjoy the present moment. She enjoys helping others discover what yoga can offer to include stress reduction, more mental clarity, elongated muscles and a strong powerful body. The breath work practiced in yoga can be brought into everyday life, to help us to de-stress and get through our hectic days. She recently completed Yoga Alliance approved coursework in Assisting and Adjusting and also in YIN yoga, with longer held poses which target our joints and connective tissue. Mary is thankful for the opportunity to teach at BRX fitness and share her passion for yoga with other yogis.


Therese Miller is excited to join the already "Fun-tastic" and energetic BRX fitness team! As a highly respected Twin Cities personal trainer, Therese brings over 34 years of experience as a group fitness instructor, and 13 years experience teaching Yoga and Pilates. Fitness has always been an important part of her life. After majoring in dance at the Cornish Institute of Arts in Seattle Washington, she went on to dance professionally in the United States, Bermuda, and Japan. She was first approached to teach aerobics during the Jane Fonda 80s, and later became ACE certified in 1989. Continuing to pursue her love of dance and movement, she expanded her education to include Pilates and Yoga; attaining certifications from both the Physical Mind Institute, and Polestar education. Therese wants her students to feel comfortable and safe, while still challenging their bodies to strengthen, stretch, and grow. Group classes containing students with a wide range of ability levels will still feel safely challenged through the use of technically sound movements and modifications; all culminating in a light-hearted and fun learning experience. Renee Golinvaux has been an Instructor/Trainer with BRX Fitness since January 2011. She's been involved in and had a love of athletics for as long as she can remember and decided to put her enthusiasm and energy to work in the fitness world. An avid cyclist, Renee loves the outdoors and enjoys participating in long distance rides, runs and hikes. Renee loves working with clients one on one and putting together fun, challenging classes for all fitness levels to enjoy, but her drive to be better comes from watching her clients accomplish more than they ever thought they could! Her Certifications include: Crossfit Level One Trainer, ACE (American Counsel on Exercise) Group Fitness Instructor, Schwinn Certified Trainer, Tabata Bootcamp Certified Trainer, R.I.P.P.E.D.
